policies + rules

OneWaternaturally recognises that there is an ever increasing requirement for customers to meet specification of state and local government.

The starting point is normally the Local Environment Plan (LEP) or the Development Control Plan (DCP) formulated and enacted by Local Government Council and Shires.

The local policies have been subject to State Government iniatives, designed to overcome the conflicting and limiting provisions of the regional requirements. Such instruments are used to set universal policy particularly for rainwater tanks applications, where in NSW, the State Environmental Planning Policy No 4 (SEPP4) or for other authorities, regions, territories, states etc. comparable leglisation and requirements provides for the installation of a rainwater tank or a combination of tanks. In NSW up to 10,000 litres under particular conditions without the requirement of submitting an application for Development Consent is available.

Notwithstanding, it is necessary to research the current requirement of your local area, including any and all overriding leglislated policy. It is your responsibility !
