      A suitable tank, configuration and installation would be based on such considerations as:

      • Purpose of rainwater collection - is the water for drinking, flushing for laundry or bathrooms, stormwater control or watering in the yard!
      • Proposed location - side passage, rear yard, elevated position, under ground etc!
      • What quantity of rainwater do you expect to collect and how much do you need to collect!
      • What style of tank do you prefer? An urban designer tank or a traditional round tank to maximise the collection - space permitting!
      • What is the maximum diameter or width for the location proposed? Is there access to get the tank into the location proposed ?
      • Is the area of roof capture large enough to adequately fill your tank ?
      • How are you going to use your rainwater collection! By using a watering can or bucket you may need a stand to elevate the tank or otherwise an automatic pressure pump!
