community water grants
- The first round of community water grant applications have been considered by the federal government and over 1750 projects are to be offered funding for the projects applied for. Federal Government ministers have agreed to fund a total of $61 million for proposed water projects.
Applications were assessed on a number of criteria which indicated higher water savings performance is being targeted by the successful projects.
OneWaternaturally assisted a range of applicants to develop their individual projects for viability and effective outcomes of water reuse and water savings. The success rate for well constructed project proposals and grant application submisions was very encouraging with a number of applicants being offered a grant.
Round two applications will be called for in June 2006. OneWaternaturally is working with interested groups to upgraded and develop new projects for sporting, school and community groups looking for assistance to formulate, set out and cost the project. All interested groups are encourage to make early contact with OneWaternaturally so as to make the best possible application for consideration of future rounds of grant funding.
