5500 litre poly inground tank
- The Eco-vault 'murray' in-ground tank provides a robust capacity retention / detention capture of stormwater or rainwater. The tank is also designed for treatment systems and industrial strength applications. The 5500 ltrs Eco-vault is calabrated to the top of the vertical sides allowing adequate air-gap giving a nominal 6.2 metre squared capacity and because of is structural design is increasingly being specified for chemical and process systems.
The tank size is 2.17m x 2.17m x 1.9m deep and must be installed according to the installation guidelines.
For greater capacity Eco-vault tanks can be easily installed in series or in a cluster to minimise the space used. The Eco-vault is an economical and speedy means to gain the capacity you need.
- The purchaser and installer are responsible to ensure all safety standards and OH&S measures are taken from the time of delivery to completion of the installation.
The manufactures installation instructions must be followed for all installations and warranty considerations - see downloadable file for manufacturers instructions below.
The tank can be lifted into position by the excavator or similar mechanical device for convenience. It can be installed quickly in a few hours without the need for weeks of open trenching and the added cost of heavy construction.
Delivery: Pricing is ex-store otherwise 'delivery to kerb' charges apply. Sydney metropolitan area only delivery is $225.00 incl GST Victoria, Queensland and any area outside Sydney metropolitan area the delivery charge is based on POA or self-arranged freight - contact dispatch for delivery charge quotations
- Frequently Asked Questions answered
FAQ :- How strong is the tank ?
Ans :- The performance of this tank is based on an FEA engineered loading with a maximum of 1.6 buckling factor whilst empty based on wet clay soil profile as a worst case load. This tank is the most structurally sound in-ground tank for the small space it uses and the efficiency of its storage capacity on the market !
FAQ :- Do tanks collapse went installed in saturated soils and what happens ?
Ans :- When any part of the design is either flat bottomed or unsupported long wall even round shape, the tank can collapse inwards especially from the base because the base is not structurally designed and can never be strong enough to withstand the forces even at 2 meters deep. These tanks are usually required to be filled with concrete under and around the base and some way up the wall as an extra expense to try to avoid buckling but that still will not work, it is just that the top of the tank is closed in and prevents you from seeing the collapse within these tanks. Some tanks are only designed to be full of water all the time to overcome the strength and collapsing from the surrounding reactive and saturated soils against the tank. The Ecovault tank is designed structurally to be strong even whilst empty, patricularly in the base and the walls and manufactured with much more material so that it does not need concrete to be poured around the tank to strengthen the base and walls to prevent this collapsing.
FAQ :- What are the advantages of this tank ?
Ans :- The construction is polyethylene which means it is inert and corrosion resistant. It can handle a range of acidic and alkaline contets within the general chemical resistance for polyethylene which concrete tanks can't necessarily do in the long run. The tank does not require a large heavy crane to get the tank off the truck, or from the street and into the excavation. A suitable excavator that does the excavation can do the job. Then again the excavation is not as deep as a bulky concrete tank needs and less likely to hit rock. Tree roots, expansive clays, black solis and uneven load will not crack the polethylene tank unlike cast concrete units and the tank will not be a great big eyesaw in your yard.
FAQ :- Is the tank suitable for stormwater / sewage / leachate applications?
Ans :- Yes. It has been designed for sewage applications as well as water storage applications. Sewerage applications are normally tank full applications whereas water storage range from tank filled to tank empty. The tank can be used as a collection well or a pump-out pit for waste and sewerage applications. High specific gravity of the content can be managed and its performance will be excellent in all applications.
FAQ :- What weight will the tank support ?
Ans :- The tank has a top loading of 500Kn for the tank itself. There are back-fill instructions using granule but additional supportive measures can be applied but not usually necessary. The tank standing alone has been used in reactive clay applications.
