green technology business case
Melbourne, 8 April 2010
Siemens AG Chief Financial Officer, Mr Joe Kaeser, has encouraged the Australian Government and local business to drive the green technologies market in an effort to boost the bourgeoning industry and follow in the footsteps of such landmark countries as Denmark and Singapore.
Siemens’ green technologies business has grown rapidly over the last five years, and now represents close to 25 percent of the company’s global annual revenue. To date, Siemens’ research and development function consists of 30,800 employees working across 150 R&D locations globally at an investment of A$6.3 billion in 2009.
