bottom . up . filter
- The bottom up filter form of treatment filter uses forced water into the difusers of a tower tank then through the media. The discharge is then by gravity into the stock tank.
The same level of treatment generally occurs as in the trickle tank filtration. The bottom up system may include a venturi to deliver aeration into the base of the treatment tank providing bacteria with essential fine air perculation to sustain their presence and vorisity. The trickle tower relies on the gentle cascade effect to provide the BOD and general aeration of the water system.
The bottom up filter should provide a more even and balanced distribution for effective aeration.
