- Products are available that enable greywater usage from access to domestic waste drainage. Washing machine waste is usually diverted to a small (25 litre - 500 litre) holding tank for sub-soil drainage to a garden otherwise a greywater treatment system with overflow release of unused capacity is utilised.
You should also talk with your local council regarding reuse requirements that may apply for your area. Any greywater treatment system will require both an approval to install and an approval to operate an onsite sewage management system.
